My Indian friends in Dublin, Saratoga, Portland have Indian nannies brought this way. My Italian and Filipino friends in the PNW also have nannies. In fact Filipinos share nannies. I have not had an elaborate discussion with Indians about this but my Filipino friends mentioned it in a casual discussion as a passing comment that their reason to bring nannies is because their food culture is so different, with the food allergies their kids have, they cannot rely on Caucasian nannies. Also, it is easier for their old parents to communicate with nannies from their culture. Quote
