The only difference between how one approaches politics lies in whether they want to make it about themselves, or if they want to dispassionately study the system and implement small experiments and test how they scale or get diffused into the system.

mainstream political left has been the one that always has had the numbers to test its theories on the population. mainstream right is always playing catch up to it, by copying its most popular ideas and giving it, its own twist.

for eg. capitalism was a reaction to communism (or whatever the left was calling communism back during French Revolution and the 50s). Without communism, majority of the world would probably be living as serfs to select masters.

even with LGBTQ stuff, left is actually strengthening the right. The most intelligent, persuasive right wing influencers will come from this group. Since the rest of the mainstream right wing is just a bunch of stupid uncles with too much money and zero connect with regular people.
