data is the primary source of any tech…

we are producing lot of data and variety of data everyday with lot of different systems and gadgets…

this data related methods/technologies are evolving everyday with different names since even before computer was invented…

for every new data introduced current automation doesnt work…there is new automation needed for that to analyze…

for example…james webb telescope found new star or our medical research found new thing in biology or new device like apple glass produce variety of logs..etc

the below is my old comment in some other thread…about data how the data related tech evolves since two decades…

as per my knowledge….

Back in days around 15+ years back….there was a concept called…decision support system…

Purpose of that DSS is organizations has to make decisions…using data...

remember during those there was only relational databases…pretty much every task is csv to database upload…

that DSS emerged into three concepts…data mining, data analysis, data reporting…

pretty much any data* related terms final purpose is to support one of the mentioned 3 DM, DA, DR…

Lets go bit more deep…

DM gave another few more terms and products like ETL…like ssis, informatica…etc

DA gave products like ssas, hyperian…few other…

DR gave products like ssrs, cognos..etc

Data reporting got outdated after javascript interactive tools came up and paper consumption also reduced…

later new kind of data like json..etc emerged so all products pick up with new terminologies…

Compare to OLTP (relational database) OLAP ( data warehouse) is bit slow…so cognis tm1 kind of in memory cube technologies emerged…

After that major changes happend like NO-SQL databases (key value pair, document based, graph based data, geo location data..etc)emerged and mobiles producing wide variety of data also…so we are hearing all these data engineering and data scientist…etc terminology…

But what ever technology emerges…its serves only one thing ….that is decision supporting systems…anytechnology falls under these three categories like data mining, data analysis or data reporting…

@dasari4kntr I am exploring AI based ML tools to analyze the data and report data issues with in system and across the organization. A lot of tools in the market and Informatica seems to be good for these. Exploring them.

I am an Enterprise architect turned Sr. Manager.

We use Informatica's tool for Middleware Integrations. We are looking at their Data Quality and Enterprise data catalog tool for data lineage, profiling and finding quality issues. Gartner report lo Informatica is at top 4th quadrant for data analysis and quality.

New role. Role is somewhere in between MDM/Data Governance.

Ph.d's working in R&D of big tech like google brain and stuff....

Langchain implementation of llm's is the only thing that comes to my mind... Don't know where this goes.

Chat-GPT maybe the buzzword... but developers will be using Llama
