Are you second guessing your decision? always wanted to go back to be close to my family. never paid attention to financial settlement, rather waited for the right job in India. As soon as I got that, I moved to India. as usual India stuff kontha ibbandi pettina, I am fine. the reason for my post is: with the current inflation, I am thinking that I just came back to India in a perfect time. just to see if other DBians are in line with my thinking. I think biggest adjustment is for kids. The younger they are, the easy the transition is. agree on inflation in US. India is much better, though real rate prices have shot up like anything in hyd in recent times. Quote
kakatiya Posted November 21, 2023 Report Posted November 21, 2023 My dad didn't move to USA as he was in two minds at age of 39. I was in 7 the grade..this was back in 1999 .. my relatives who moved in 1999 ..and their kids in 6th 7th class.. did fairly well.. in other words..they got good combination of both the worlds.. they got good higher education and were able to find successful career Your kids will survive and will do well in opt + h1b even though they don't get green cards by that time. AvramFaind Posted April 17, 2024 Report Posted April 17, 2024 People make big life changes at all stages. Just think about what you want from the move and how it aligns with your life goals. Consider factors like job opportunities, community, and lifestyle. Quote
RaphaelChou Posted April 17, 2024 Report Posted April 17, 2024 Absolutely, age shouldn't limit your adventures! I made a big move to the USA in my 40s, and it's been an incredible journey. Sure, there were adjustments, but it's never too late to chase your dreams. When I was planning my move, I found companies like Relocation to be invaluable. Their expertise in international moves eased any worries I had. So if the States are calling your name, go for it! It's never too late to start a new chapter. 1 Quote
