Its a good decision. In case of any emergency in india, your flight time is only 6/7 hours and you could be in home if you home town is near to the international airport.

I know many of NRI who returned to India 15 years back ended up working in countries around india like malasia, dubai, singapore, japan. But those who can adjust their life style to india, they stayed back in india.

You will repent. Life is not as complicated as it is US but with community, education, inclusive in the society etc won’t be as open as it in US. Unless you are getting paid 3x, not a good idea to move to UK.

AFAIK, you wont get billing rates like how you do in us. Can someone throw light on UK salaries?

Pros:

Nearer to India ( 10 hrs direct flight to HYD)

Can get PR after 5 years on Tier 2 visa and citizenship a year after PR

Less crime rate compared to US . No guns

Cons:

Small IT market

Low salaries

Higher taxes (40-45%)

Health care( NHS has a huge black log and there's a huge waiting time for appointments. You will get private health care from your employer but you can't directly go to a private hospital. You need a reference from NHS GP then call that health care provider to get pre authorization code and then book an appointment with private doctors. You can get appointments in a day or 2)

Housing problem ( house rents and costs are higher and small houses)

You will have to move based on where your kids get a school admission.

Cost of living: groceries, electronics cars everything expensive
