each pencil has grades lie H, B, HB as below...based on thickness...

 

 

and also other tools called blenders...which give blending effect... generally used for shading..etc

 

and different kind of erasers...like plastic earser, earser pen which vibrates very tiny...etc...my son uses these tools for his pencil drawings...

 

for pencil drawing...we need very less tools...all we need is skill and some drawing concepts...

all we need to know...these concepts..

1. basic patterns..

2. human proportions..

 

3. Loomis method to draw human face...

 

4. single point  perspective / multi point perspective..
