Meet Lakshmanrao of Raipur, a man whose unfortunate circumstances did not hold him back from ensuring a good future for his family.

Lakhsmanrao was born blind. He lost his parents when he was just twelve years old. This put the burden of bringing up his younger brother on his tender shoulders. That's when he started selling items in trains and earned just enough to survive.

With his meager income, he ensured good education for his brother. Sadly, the brother left him to live on his own. That's when Lakshmanrao got married, had three sons, and despite his disability, he ensured good education for his three sons by selling chocolates in trains.

His three sons are settled in their careers now, with one of them working in a bank after completing his MBA, another one works in Vishakhapatnam, while the third son (who is also visually challenged) works in a blind school.

This inspiring story has another side too, which we all need to note and think about.

He registered with the eye bank to receive eyes from donors thirty years ago. He is yet to receive a positive response. Perhaps a timely receipt of eyes could have helped him avoid all his difficulties?
