Perini is a form of dance in Telangana. It has classical steps and movements. Its swaying movements are delicate and a pleasure to watch. However, the dance form lost patronage due to the growing interest in western style and fast movements. But a few dedicated artistes have preserved the art form and are teaching it to interested students in some villages. The students said that they would perform these dances during the coming Bathukamma festival.
