15% after-tax in stocks.

6% pre-tax in retirement.

Same to Same. 15% after tax in Company ESPP plan. Company will give stocks for 15% discount but we have to hold them for 1year before selling them.

6% pre tax in 401K, for which the company will add 3.5% of salary. If I contribute 6000, Company will add 3,500.

for people who are not interested in stocks, mutual funds are better.

Fidelity. https://fundresearch.fidelity.com/mutual-funds/performance-and-risk/316345206

this is one of the example.

Vanguard: https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/list#/mutual-funds/name/month-end-returns

you can choose portfolio which u like..

remember risk increase with increase in expected returns..so decide ur self..

balanced portfolio unna mutual fund is safe bet always..though the return might be 2-4% less.. than the aggressive one.

Bro ee mutual funds ekkada konali? direct aa websites lo konaala or emaina untunda like tradeking laaga? also naaku thakkuva profit vacchina parledu kaani safe ga undali i mean nenu oka 20K veysthey andulo atleast oka 5 years tharuvatha min 20K aina ravali kaani 1 dollar kooda thaggoddu alantivi emaina unnaya mutual funds? ikkadey US lo invest cheyddam anukuntunna mutual funds kakunda inka emi options untay? thanks chitti @Spartan

u can open account with Fidelity or Vanguard..and buy the mutual funds from there.

i prefer Fidelity. akkada u can choose any type of mutual fund and also view the holdings wichi that fund has.

like medical, energy, gas, oil, blue chip tech etc kind of.

https://www.fidelity.com/mutual-funds/overview

and put ur money in that fund. they will manage.
