CBN learned a hard lesson in 2004 for the same reason. He did not distribute wealth to poor and so lost elections in 2004. 

 

YSR, who came to power started distributing power to poor and people started praising the welfare schemes. People don't care about govt debt. They just want Govt to take care of them no matter what happens

in 2019, if YCP comes to power, they will literally have no money to implement any welfare schemes so, it will kind of show the people that Jagan is not a welfare CM although he wanted to do something. 

if TDP comes to power again, that probably will be their last term before power changing hands in 2024.
