Bill should pass in all chambers of the US congress.

 

US Congress = House(435 members like Lok Sabha) + Senate( 100 members like Rajya Sabha. Each state has 2 senators. These senators are elected by public in each state. Not elected by party.) + President.

 

HR1044= House version of the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act-2019 passed House with 365/435 bipartisian support

S.386=Senate Bill (Senate version companion bill for the house)

As of now S.386 bill is on hold due to Senator Rand Paul Kentucky senator.

To remove hold beneficiaries advocacy, awareness is needed. So, meet/call your senator/office.

call your senator office/staff or walkin your senator office near to you to share your story and get S.386 bill cosponsorship. Dont give any penny to any org. Just participation brings the change.

2/3rds majority in both House and senate removes president veto power and has to sign. Already bill with 2/3rds majority in house. If bill is called for voting in senate, easily gets 2/3rds majority.

senate. Because, each senator serving time is 6 years once elected. Even president is just for 4 years. where as each house member should go to elections per every 2 years to reelect from public.

Each one of your GC backlogs story is different. More than that who can tell your story to senators better than you in the world? Senators need a personal stories to be heard from Green Card backlogs.
S.386 is a senate version of house bill HR1044. Here’s *66/100* senators contact info who have not yet cosponsored S.386. To pass S.386 country quota removal successfully your voice and your GC backlogs story is important. I as a bill S.386 wants to become a law. To become a law I do need more than *60/100* cosponsors(votes) in a senate of the USA congress. Then only I can help to reduce 150 years GC backlog waiting times for you as well as brings fairness in GC allocation in employment based GCs. S.386 bill dont brings any favors. *ONLY BRINGS FAIRNESS instead of discriminating based on country of birth.*
