Update: 2020/11/30

We would like to begin with a huge thanks to each and everyone who has supported and stood by us in these difficult times.

Here is the quick update about Mounika's health.

Doctors have informed us that Mounika has to under go a major spinal surgery tomorrow, which is a very complicated procedure and we are all hoping for the very best. We will know more on what the next steps are after the surgery, Will keep you all posted as we know more on how she is responding to the treatment.

In regards to Mounika's parents and her brother, after long conversations with the family and taking into account the logistics and emotional aspect, a decision was made (which was not taken easily) to perform final rituals here in Dallas, TX as per Indian traditions. As soon as we have a date and a place for the rituals we will keep you all posted.

Just to proactively address the reason for raising the fundraising goal. We started the fundraiser to help Mounika out. As we learned more and based on the recent prognosis from the doctors this afternoon, it seems like Mounika has a long road ahead of her which would include long period of hospitalization followed by extended rehab.

The sole intent of raising the goal was to help her rebuild her life to some semblance of normalcy during the extended period of recovery. Please rest assured that every penny donated will be got to her and put towards her recovery and well being.

Once again we wanted to express our heartful thanks for understanding and supporting us through these difficult times.

Update 2: 2020/12/01

Mounika's spinal surgery has been pushed to tomorrow morning due to complexities and the time needed for the surgery.. Multiple specialists were needed to perform this complex surgery and some of the resources were delayed due to another surgeries in the hospital today and they recommended to start tomorrow morning as it takes a full day.

Please pray for the well being of her and successfulness of surgery.
