At this point no one gives a fuck about debt size , all they care about is "can we service the debt ?" 

Covid was a hard time but Trump went overboard with giving away too much money to corporates . 

I like bidens approach more people centric

Yeah how they gonna service debt? By ballooning more debt? 

The other options are increasing taxes and decreasing expenditure. These seem impossible right now. 

The only option is more debt to service the current debt.

Dude you need to stop worrying about debt figure , as long as the debt is domestically owned they can  keep servicing it well . 

Infact with these interest rates , you shouldn't worry about the debt at all .

40% is owned by China. 

Another 30% by banks which are privately owned. Remember vomerica doesn't have nationalised bank system. 

Only the 30% owned by pensions, other such as social security can be written off I guess. Provided vomerican citzennnnsss wont make a big deal about it.
