సురభీ నాటక సంస్ధ కృషి కూడా చెప్పలేనంత  ఉంది…1885 లో స్తాపించిన ఈ నాటక సమాజం …పౌరాణికాల విషయంలో ఒక కొలమానం (benchmark) గా నిలిచాయి…పద్యాలు కాని, మేకప్ కానీ, కిరీటాలు కాని…అక్కడ నుంచి వచ్చినవే…

1931 నుంచి మెదలైన తెలుగు సినిమా…సురభీ మరియు ఇతర నాటక సమాజాల నుండి ఎంతో నేర్చకుంది…

ఇప్పుడు మన పౌరాణిక సినిమాలు ఇతర భాషల పౌరాణిక సినిమాల కన్నా బాగున్నాయి అంటే…ఈ నాటక సమాజాల కృషి కూడా ఉంది…మనం గుర్తించాలి అంతే…

agree...but this surabhi naataka samajam or similar ones in other languages (తోలు బోమ్మలాట, వీధి బాగోతం, జానపద నృత్యరూపకం...) gave good foundations...

Telugu, Tamil, Kannaa lo Nataka samajam nunche vaccharu initial days lo. Kakapothe Telugu lo manchi actors undatam, actors kante directors. I think KV Reddy Mayabazar turning point ani cheppocchu. Its success in all languagues. Ippudu manam matladukune Bahubali kante peddha hit appatlo.

mayabazar is big hit as naatakam by surabhi...after so many years...it made it as movie...

check the documentary video...its pretty good and informative...
