Hitman Posted January 15, 2024 Report Posted January 15, 2024 Two students, G Dinesh (22) from Wanaparthy in Telangana and Nikesh (21) from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, were discovered deceased in their Connecticut accommodation in the US, news agency PTI reported citing a family member on Monday (January 15). As per the report, Dinesh's family remains unaware of the cause of his death and that of his roommate. According to family members, Dinesh and his roommate were mutual friends who became roommates in the US after arriving there, it added. "Dinesh's friends from a nearby room called us on Saturday night and informed us about his death and his roommate's. We have no clue as to how he died," shared Dinesh's family members, PTI reported. Dinesh had gone to Hartford, Connecticut, for higher studies on December 28, 2023, while Nikesh arrived a few days later, according to the report. Seeking assistance, Dinesh's family has approached Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to repatriate Dinesh's mortal remains. Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy has also offered support in bringing back Dinesh's body. Expressing condolences, Megha Reddy met with the deceased student's family members in Wanaparthy town. The MLA spoke to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who responded positively, assuring arrangements for the repatriation of the body to Wanaparthy, the report said. Srikakulam Police Special Branch DSP K Balaraju noted that there is no information on Nikesh or his family members yet, and even the Srikakulam district administration remains uninformed, it added further. Grieving over the student's death, Wanaparthy MLA T Megha Reddy conveyed condolences to the family and coordinated with authorities for the repatriation of Dinesh's body from the United States, as per the report. The Chief Minister affirmed his commitment to facilitating the return of the deceased student's body to his native place in Wanaparthy. The MLA was informed that the student from Wanaparthy had left for the US on December 28 last year for higher studies. 1 Quote
