which is same as offshore and it has been there for decades... what would make them switch suddenly to go offshore for their entire IT operations , service and development ? 

some jobs will go because covid proved we can do IT development remotely, but not all jobs.

  • more salary reduction
  • real estate expenses, shutdown offices,its already happening...
  • US laws employment etc are more stringent compared to other Asian Latin nations...

 

intak mundu offshore undatam veru ippudu untadam veru..

earlier days it was only operations and support teams..

ippudu even development teams kuda moving, ma company lo 4 major products never saw Development center out of US for last 3 deceades..

but e year, we setup design and product dev teams in Pune and Banglore....

hearing same across other companies from Bay Area....and even MSFT

agreed to some extent...

dev teams from offshore is not new... I did development in india for few years for WITCH with clients from fortune 50 list. 

MSFT lanti companies ki offshore office yeppati nuncho unnayi kada , don't they have product dev teams till now ?

look at Accenture , deloitte other firms from BIG4. pre development antha tella batch, dev antha offshore. This model is working, unless this model is applied moving to offshore doesn't work.

tella clients can't deal with desi/foreigner from other country, they tried this already. Lot of differences in working style, working ethics , culture language ,expectations. 

my point is US clients tried this already but the quality and communication are not meeting their expectations, may be this time its different. Talent in india needs to do dev work during US timings , which will be game changer provided tella clients know how to get work done from desis. but talent won't be willing to do that.

WITCH companies nunchi chepinchadam was different..

I am talking about companies started leasing offices to get the teams on their own.

worked with bofa and GAP offshore teams also they always get low priority and low criticality projects. And they have these offshore offices from many many years. 

over the years if remote worker's quality in US goes down then it may workout. we have to wait and see
