The BJD reportedly did not want to contest on anything less than 100 of the 147 Assembly seats, in the only state where it has a presence. But the BJP insisted on around 57 seats.

in theory everything is right. where do you get opposition  from? some thing has to emerge right? or RG/Gandhi family has leave politics for congress to find atleast a decent opposition.

Its BJD who's desperate for alliance with BJP because BJP is getting stronger and is the principal oppositon party in Odisha. They already wiped out Congress from the state.

Naveen patnaik old ayyipoyadu and they is no next gen in their family party who can move the party ahead. 

 

BJP has very good chance to form Govt on their own in Odisha for double engine sarkar

back in December last year Odisa assembly lo BJP was winni 45 seats

anduke alliance discussion start aindi, but by march, BJP surveys showed they could win 70 seats easily.. so adi vache tappudu why going with alliance and settling for 40 seats ani backout ayyaru

but still Biju and BJP both agree on lot of terms evaru gelichina fine

Double engine sarkar is a big joke… look at Karnataka and maharastra… 

Orissa is one of the few states without a budget deficit and don’t take any loans.. they have budget surplus.. there is a reason why BJD is winning for 4-5 terms..

Naveen patnaik is pretty decent politician and very non controversial, but his age is catching up to him. So BJP is catching up.

BJP double engine sarkar worked really well in UP, Gujarat and Assam...... Strong leadership and cadre.

 

Agree with Karnataka and MH as it has the worst corrupt & dumbest politicians from both Cong and BJP...... MH lo kooda infrastructure wise BJP did a pretty decent job. Check the mumbai coastal road projects and expressways. But corruption undi baagane due to kcchidi alliance in MH.
