They were in alliance by contesting separately on paper and colluding as needed.
 

PK’s agenda is simple - Contest together when TDP is in opposition, Contest separately when TDP is power. Anti Incumbency vote is all they cared about.

If JSP-TDP alliance is good only in Urban but weak in rural....chances are that it might replicate Telangana results....where BRS was strong in the cities where as Congress was strong in rural areas. 

Also JSP-TDP vote transfers might be restricted to God Zillas. So, it is still a tight contest.
