Volunteers

Who advised TDP to prevent Volunteers from distributing Pensions? Keep politics aside, this is a big headache for people who have to go to Secretaries instead of collecting Pension at home.

They should have stopped at Election duties and not extend to regular day to day activities like Pension distribution.

This move alone could hurt the chances of alliance. Now people will see what life will be without Volunteers.

Volunteer systems is a great initiative and should be continued regardless of who wins next term.

Why volunteers are needed ? Isn't credited to their accounts?
is it not "Button press" distribution?

Didn’t understand what you said…. National Party has no existence in AP if that is what you are indicating.

YCP leaders (top tier) says volunteers are their army

YCP leaders say volunteers should work for their victory and show loyalty towards jagan while salaried on taxpayers money

Volunteers campaign for YCP and distribute gifts to influence voters

EC holding back volunteers from distributing pension is a TDP mistake

Great logic by well educated YCP patrons

And yeah pension scheme never existed before volunteer system!!

Volunteer System is an asset for YCP since this an initiative by Jagan. People appreciated the benefits of the system. This is a good delivery machanism. I don’t want them help YCP during elections either.

But, TDP had done a major blunder asking EC to prevent them from distributing Pensions.

Firstly, its not a good delivery mechanism rather its a mechanism to build cader at the cost of exchequer

Secondly, its not TDPs mistake but YCPs as their top leaders forced volunteers to work for their win including the party president being a state CM

and most importantly its a backend game by YCP to show TDP as a culprit. Eitherway it will only dent YCPs chances as this section is going to vote for YCP anyway.

I disagree on the delivery mechanism. We have seen the first hand benefits not just with distribution of Pensions but how they have helped during the COVID Crisis.

Just don’t understand how Volunteers will work for YCP’s win as if YCP don’t have leaders, cadres, and contestants to campaign for themselves. What are Volunteers going to do differently this month since they have been in people for last 5 years? I would be open to understand a counter view on this.

Nimmagadda/TDP forced the hand of EC to strip Volunteers from Pension duties. Who else bears the blame for this?

Why did Vijaya Sai and many top leaders call out Volunteers as YCP sympathizers

Why in many meetings YCP leaders callout volunteers to work for Jagans victory

Its those comments that forced EC to order the ban

Again, volunteer system is just a pseudo structure to already existing mechanisms such as mandal, panchayath, muncipal and much more

How was a never seen before natural calamity as Hudud handled so efficiently without volunteer system

How come states like Kerala and tamilnadu do better in handling Covid without volunteers

When there is so much push towards digitization across india are pensions in AP not brought in to EBT, oh just to remind messiah's mercy towards needy on a monthly basis??

I think you miss the basic point behind giving the pensions directly to beneficiaries while rest of the schemes are delivered via banks. Do you expect every old person to have a bank account, do you want him to go to bank to withdraw money? The primary reason pension money is being delivered directly with their thumb impression it to eliminate the hassle and middle layers. Ofcourse there will be benefit for YCP as well.

You are welcome to strip Volunteers from the election arena but does it make sense to prevent them from distributing Pensions?

If you think Volunteers, Secretaries, RBKs etc haven’t benefited people, I have no further comments on it.

the whole idea of digitization is to bring in efficiencies and avoid middle man

Even a small time road side vendor, a barber, a push cart vendor has phone pay/gpay, what is the need of withdrawing money at bank?

Oh almost forgot - AP liquor stores accept cash only, right???

Now its easy to connect the dots.

isnt your money safer in a bank than at home?

I rest my case on volunteers being asked not to deliver pension untill election, as the only reason for it as I stated earlier is YCP projecting them as their unofficial cader.

Again, this is just a parallel govt structure that runs to favor YCP

if the real intention is to help people, they could have beefed up existing systems such as panchayats, mandals, corporations, muncipals, anganwadis, dwakras etc.
