Isn't it part of work? Don't we work with other teams. When we do, have rational conversations. Also lunch time, after office happy hour, Get-togethers outside work, etc. 

US lo what works the best is - Relationships and connections. When a leader/Manager leaves to another company they usually take the ones they like and it helps grow with in an organization as well.
