Feroze ghandy is a parsi from gujarat,I am guessing ghandhi is some merchant tile used by gujaratis,as even Mahatma Gandhi belongs to vaishya family.

Adhi feroz gandhi choice , his last name was changed ( somr years ) before marrying indira .

Firoz Gandhy changed his last name to Gandhi long before he married Indira. 

I don't see anything wrong with Priyanka retaining Gandhi too
