• మిగతా దేశాల్లోనూ టీకా ఉపసంహరణకు దరఖాస్తు చేయనున్న ఆస్ట్రాజెనెకా

తాను రూపొందించిన కరోనా టీకాను ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఉపసంహరించుకుంటున్నట్టు బ్రిటన్ ఫార్మా దిగ్గజం ఆస్ట్రాజెనెకా తాజాగా వెల్లడించింది. వాణిజ్యపరమైన కారణాల రీత్యా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్టు తాజాగా ప్రకటించింది. టీకాతో రక్తం గడ్డకడుతున్నట్టు వస్తున్న ఆరోపణలతో ఈ నిర్ణయానికి ఎటువంటి సంబంధం లేదని తెలిపింది. ఈ టీకా తయారీ, సరఫరా నిలిపివేశామని, మార్కెటింగ్ అనుమతులు కూడా వెనక్కు తీసుకుంటున్నట్టు కంపెనీ పేర్కొందని అంతర్జాతీయ మీడియా వెల్లడించింది. ఆస్ట్రాజెనెకా రూపొందించిన కరోనా టీకా విదేశాల్లో వాక్స్‌జెర్వియా, భారత్‌లో కోవిషీల్డ్ పేరిట విక్రయిస్తున్నారు. 

వాక్స్‌జెర్వియాతో రక్తం గడ్డకట్టి బాధితులు మరణించిన ఉదంతాలు బ్రిటన్‌లో వెలుగు చూడటంతో బాధితులు న్యాయపోరాటం ప్రారంభించారు. టీకా కారణంగా యూకేలో 81 మరణాలు, తీవ్ర ఆనారోగ్యాలు తలెత్తినట్టు కేసులు దాఖలైయ్యాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో తమ టీకాతో రక్తం గడ్డకట్టే సమస్య ఉన్నట్టు ఆస్ట్రాజెనెకా అంగీకరించింది. ఐరోపా దేశాల్లో టీకా వెనక్కు తీసుకునేందుకు మార్చి 5న సంస్థ దరఖాస్తు చేసుకొంది. మంగళవారం నుంచి ఈ ఉపసంహరణ అమల్లోకి వచ్చింది. బ్రిటన్ సహా, ఇతర దేశాల్లోనూ త్వరలో టీకా ఉపసంహరణ దరఖాస్తులను కంపెనీ దాఖలు చేయనుంది. 

‘‘కరోనాను తుదముట్టించడంలో మా టీకా పాత్రను చూసి గర్వపడుతున్నాం. సంక్షోభం తొలి ఏడాదిలోనే టీకా వినియోగంతో ఏకంగా 65 లక్షల మంది ప్రాణాలు దక్కించుకున్నారు. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఇప్పటివరకూ 100 కోట్ల టీకాలను సరఫరా చేశాం. సంక్షోభ నివారణలో మా శమ్రను ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రభుత్వాలు గుర్తించాయి’’ అని ఆస్ట్రాజెనెకా మీడియాతో వ్యాఖ్యానించింది.

PVNR willingly or unwillingly or as an experiment introduced open door policy in 1991 which paved the way for foreign investments through 2000s and 2020s.

It could have backfired like in Pakistan or Afghanistan which collaborated with the West.

but India emerged winner and lifted nearly 1 billion out of poverty.
