most US companies don’t hire h1’s an f1’s directly.. they only hire consultants who already worked for them for quite some time and proved themselves valuable.. very very few ppl get hired directly..

i disagree ... my and my friends for example are all alumini from Columbia, NYU and Carnegie ... All of us got a job through campus interviews.

So many folks we have seen who just graduated from crap univ or came on H1B ... fake their resume. its crazy the amount of fraud a lot of these people do.

i'm  but i have no sympathy for fraudstars ... to your point if only very few got hired directly then they are most likely the deserving. Doesn't mean the other fraud population should be encouraged (just because they are more in numbers)

Many among telugu ppl think its very normal to do off campus job during F1 and directly joining consultancy and start job search with phake resume. 

Trust me majority telugu F1's and even some of my family members dont know that there is something called RA, TA or on campus 20 hr/week job and then internships which get converted to FT positions. 

Just because phakers numbers ekkuva kada ani it does not become right and assume everyone does same. 

Maa neighbors in Hyd were saying because of this admin off campus part time koda chala kastam ayyindi. Arre howle asalu off campus part time itself is not allowed.

I agree this became normalized.. earlier hardly 10-20K students used to come here every year... now 1-2 lakhs are coming and joining day 1 cpt/opt universities.. asalu aa junk universities ni ban cheyyali, they are worse than community colleges.. this needs to be corrected and expectations correct ga set cheyyali.. with more students, internships are becoming very rare.. campus placements are becoming rare for foreign students.. only way to get a job has become the consultancy route..
