Has Vijayamma’s plan boomeranged?

Hyderabad, Aug 24: CBI has intensified its investigation into Jagan’s properties and preparing unravels the irregularities allegedly committed by him during the regime of his father. Jagan’s mother Vijayamma has recently written a strongly-worded letter to the Prime Minister to ensure that public sympathy on her son continued. “Are the CBI raids for defying Sonia? Is it proper to eliminate a person as you cannot face him politically?” she has pointedly n the Prime Minister in her letter.

However, Vijayamma’s plan appears to have backfired. She has made this letter a weapon in the hands of Jagan’s opponents inadvertently. Instead of hitting the congress, the letter took U Turn and hit Jagan himself. Congress and TDP leaders are pointing at the fact that Vijayamma has not mentioned anywhere in that letter that her son was innocent.

Mentioning about this in Visakhapatnam, TDP chief Chandrababu has pointed that nowhere in her letter Vijayamma has mentioned that Jagan was innocent and had not committed any crime. He said the intention of the letter appeared to be to extricate Jagan from the cases and not to prove his innocence. Congress leaders are also making the same kind of argument.
