Oracle Developer and Oracle DBA requirement

My vendor(whom iam working with) has the following requirements in NY/NJ. 1. Senior Oracle DBA

Location: Lawrenceville, NJ

Responsibilities:                       

- Support multiple Development, QA, Staging and Production Oracle 10G/RAC databases. Wear phone/pager, on rotation.

- Participate in multiple simultaneous application projects, at database design, engineering and implementation stages.

- Participate and lead in database and application tuning efforts at all SDLC stages.

- Support database refreshes for Monthly and Quarterly processing and reporting.

- Take ownership for database related issues and communicate and coordinate cross-team and with Oracle Support, lead in root-cause and resolution.

           

Qualifications:

- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

- At least 8 years of Oracle DBA on a UNIX and/or Linux environment, 2 years of ASM and RAC.

- Extensive knowledge of physical database design.

- Experience with installations and upgrades of Oracle server software, creating databases, database objects, users, roles etc.

- Experience loading and managing large volumes (millions of transactions) of data into a database, as well as with data replication techniques.

- Experience managing large databases (1+ TB) of data stored in the database.

- Must be able to work with the existing DBAs and be able to proactively communicate status to management.

- Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and guidance.

- Must be willing to work with other IT teams to debug and resolve critical issues.

- Experience with Dataguard, Streams, ASO, TAF, FAN, OID, OEM/GC - a BIG PLUS.

- OCA or OCP

2. Oracle Developer

Location: New York, NY

Description:  Client is looking for a Senior Oracle 7 Developer to work on regulatory applications within Corporate Loans.  XML, ETL, data warehousing experience and skills is highly desirable.

Extensive experince in Forms and Reports is required

This is a 12+ months contract with very aggressive deliverables.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

3.  Web UI Designer

Location:  NY

Principal Duties: 

1. Create functional UI designs using graphic design tools, such as Photoshop and Ilustrator  40%

2. Working with IT development team to identify the best layout and functionality options to  60%

achieve an attractive, adaptable design for Web 2.0.     

 

POSITION COMPLEXITY

-Decision-making/problem solving: Provide examples of decisions made and/or problems solved that require analyzing data or complex issues. Indicate the frequency of these decisions. (e.g. Approve all purchases up to $10,000 recommends selection of vendors to be considered as potential suppliers.).

-Following direction from the Global Internet Design team, will meet daily with Rye developers to craft a UI that works best around the Web 2.0 functionality that they are developing.

-Latitude of action: Describe any portion of this position's work not covered by written procedures. Indicate the course of action taken in these situations.

-Must be an expert in balancing technical functionality and visual elements to create a UI that is not only operational but also usable and adaptable to changing user needs.

-Impact of action: Describe the position's potential for contribution to company success. (e.g. preservation of assets, cost savings, etc.).

-The Web 2.0 project is a highly visible initiative that will have an impact not only on our client's website functionality, but on the future of the business as a whole.

Special Skills Required: 

- At least 8 years of Web Design experience; some Beauty, Fashion or similar experience preferred.

-Expert knowledge of digital design and production tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator

- Strong familiarity with Web 2.0 best practices & design

- Strong design vocabulary
