My Dream - Now Space Center at GUNTUR

Guntur (AP), Oct 1 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister M V Ramana Rao today said the Union government has decided to set up a space centre between the coastal districts of Guntur and Krishna in the state.Rao was speaking at a meeting at V.R.K. Memorial College at Nagaram villages in Guntur district today.The minister said that space centre will try to unlock the secrets of space involving pure sciences like chemistry and physics to assist students of engineering and medical streams.Speaking on the occasion, S Mohan of NITT, Chennai, exhorted students to learn about Indian agriculture.District Education Officer D Parvathi claimed that Central government's science and technology Department is promoting students' interest in science.
