Mr. Alluri Satyanarayana was born at Narasapur, in 1893. He sprang form a peasant family and widely rambled in Telugu literature.
In 1930 he participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement. Once he was treated to the lathi. He joined the Hindustani Seva Dal and came out a disciplined soldier.

He edited the periodical "Virabharati" and efficiently organized the Civil Disobedience Movement. He was arrested and brutally assaulted in the lock up. While he was lying unconscious the Sub-Inspector poured into is mouth wine and spat tobacco cuds.

His teeth were broken and the toothless gums remain as sorry reminders of brazed repression. Thereafter he was thrown into the street with blood gushing wounds. In the Civil Disobedience Movement, he was imprisoned for one year.

He has galvanized the youth of Andhra in the freedom movement. He is elected as the President of the District Congress Committee which commands a Socialist majority. He is also a member of the A.I.C.C. when the Kottapattam Summer School students were beaten with lathis his ribs were broken.

The career of Mr. Alluri Satyanarayana is a moving tale. his sufferings draw tears even form the eyes of a soulless cynic

He is the steady, relentless enemy of imperialism. He considers the present constitutional reforms as idle trifling. His eyes are fixed on the ultimate goal-the Soviet India He is the stuff of which revolutions are made. He reincarnates fierce intensity and implacable will.
