if you buy that phone from AT&T and done with contract, then only you can get it unlocked, they will ask for the IMEI number of the phone and then they will verify it against your account, and the contract end date.. If everything looks good, your phone's IMEI will be updated in Apple's Servers, and when you backup/restore from itunes, it will get unlocked!
