Senior Minister Gave Shelter To Bhanu

Hyderabad, April 26: CID has stated some startling facts in its remand report submitted to the court on the arrest of Bhanu Kiran, prime accused in the murder of Rayalaseema factionist Maddelacheruvu Suri.

CID said Bhanu Kiran has spent 2 months in the quarters of a senior minister before the release of Suri from jail. He also obtained information about disputed properties from one minister, said the report.

The investigating agency has also reportedly said that Bhanu has taken shelter even after the murder in the farm house of a minister in Zahirabad, from where he was picked up. The report said that after the murder of Suri, one police officer used to give information to Bhanu on the latest developments every day. One sub-collector and two RDOs have also totally extended support to Bhanu in his criminal activities, the report added.

The remand report says that film producers Singanamala Ramesh and C Kalyan played a key role in the land settlements made by Bhanu. The report says that while the two have given him details about 210 lands under dispute, Bhanu has settled 93 of these, worth Rs. 800 crores. The report said that Mangali Krishna was benami owner of Bhanu’s properties in Kadapa.

The remand report has also said that Bhanu has used two film heroines to get information about disputed lands. However the agency not named the minister, the police officer, film heroines and other revenue officials who helped Bhanu. CID has said that Bhanu was a key accused in 16 major cases.
