50 From State Make It To Civil Services

Krishna Bhaskar, son of senior IAS officers from the State -- V. Bhaskar and Lakshmi Parthasarathy -- secured the all India 9th rank in the Civil Services this year and the top rank from the State.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
Around 50 candidates from the State are said to have made it to the list of successful candidates. However, the number has come down compared to last year, according to the Civil Services trainers like V. Gopalakrishna of Brain Tree and R.C. Reddy of R.C. Reddy Study Circle. A lot of successful candidates from the State, including the topper Mr. Bhaskar, have taken coaching in these institutes.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
Mr. Bhaskar was selected for Indian Police Service (IPS) last year. An alumnus of Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, he completed his B.Tech from the IIT Kharagpur in Electrical Engineering. He also did his PG Diploma in Management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
Mr. Bhaskar said his parents' influence has been huge on his success though initially he wanted to stay away from the services. But his stint at the ISB changed his perception and he realised how society could be served through Civil Services.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The women topper in the State is said to be N. Swetha who secured 163rd rank; she is likely to get into IPS. She holds MS in Information Systems from University of Santa Clara in California. Ms. Swetha, who took coaching at R.C. Reddy Study Circle said her husband was the biggest motivating factor.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The successful candidates include a housewife, Singaraju Rakhi Mayuri, who secured 135th rank. Though she hails from the State, she did her B.Tech from Chhattisgarh. Ms. Mayuri was inspired by her grandfather who was a freedom fighter.[/font][/color]
