Cbi Files 3Rd Charge-Sheet In Jagan Case

Hyderabad, May 7: CBI filed third charge-sheet in the illegal assets case against YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Monday.

Apart from naming Jagan as the prime accused, CBI also included the name of IAS officer Venkatarami Reddy in the 88-page third charge-sheet containing 142 documents and evidences of 72 persons. In this charge-sheet, apart from Jagan and Vijaya Sai Reddy, who were named accused one and two, the agency has also included Jagati Publications as (A-3), Ayodhya Rami Reddy, chairman of Ramky Pharma India Limited (A-4), IAS officer G Venkatarami Reddy (A-5) and Ramky Pharma India Limited (A-6).

CBI has stated that the Ramky group had invested Rs 10 crores in the Jagati Publications owned by Jagan.

CBI has stated that when IAS officer Venkatarami Reddy was the Vice Chairman of the Vizag Urban Development Authority, he had allotted 1,500 acres of land to the Ramky group and the company had invested in Jagan’s company in a quid pro quo operation. The agency has said that in return for the Rs 10 crores invested in Jagati Publications, Ramky group has also got 77 acres in the Polepalli SEZ.

It may be mentioned that CBI has conducted searches in the office of the Ramky group in the Cyber Towers and seized some incriminating documents recently.
