It is one of the creative projects showcased by Microsoft employees at the Garage Science Fair on the company's campus here on Thursday. ‘My Obstretics', a Windows application and several other apps which sought to solve real-life issues were on display at the fair. Over 58 teams participated in the event and a jury panel led by senior Microsoft leaders judged the projects. The app is likely to be commercialised in a month's time, according to Prashant Gaurav and Priyanka Mehtani, the team members of the ‘My Obstretics'. However, it would not be sold as a Microsoft company product and the individuals, who developed it, would hold the right for its commercial application. The product would also help the expecting mother to track her Body Mass Index (BMI), stay healthy and avoid complications during pregnancy. It would not only list the tests to be done during the course of pregnancy but also set reminders for conducting them and taking medicines. Another interesting such app on display was “Bill Tracker”, a Windows Phone 7 application, which would not only enable people to track and pay their bills online, but also provides an analysis of the bills paid over a time and send reminders before the due date.
