[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Hyderabad, May 31: Former PCC president D Srinivas here on Thursday described the remarks of YSRCP honorary president and Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijayalakshmi that she has doubts over the death of her husband late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in helicopter crash and political conspiracy behind the arrest of her son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as total rubbish. [/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Speaking to media persons in Gandhi Bhavan here, the former PCC chief said that Vijayamma’s allegations against AICC president were atrocious and improper as Sonia Gandhi had even pardoned killers of her husband former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. [/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Stating that he had toured ten Assembly constituencies so far, Srinivas said that the ruling party has bright chances of winning. He said that the party workers and leaders were confident of the party win in the by-elections. Stating that he had seen in newspapers that Bobbili MLA Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao has decided to quit the ruling party, Srinivas said that he was free to join the YSR Congress party. [/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]The former PCC chief also felt that there was no loss to the Congress party with the arrest of YSR Congress party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Those who have personal relations with Jagan were alone joining the YSRC, he added. Stating that people in large numbers were turning up at Vijayamma’s meetings with a curiosity to see her in person, Srinivas said that Vijayamma’s electioneering might have a little impact. [/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]PCC official spokesperson Dr Thulasi Reddy condemned the remarks of Vijayamma that the State would witness a “golden era” if her son became chief minister. He also described the YSRC leaders as “saleable commodity in the market” as they sold themselves to Jagan for his tainted money. [/font]

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Another senior leader Paladugu Venkata Rao said that those who were joining the Jagan’s party were ruining their political life and bright future. Government Chief Whip Kondru Murali said that sweet talk of Vijayamma and Jagan’s sister Sharmila would not yield votes. Politics is not a laughing matter and the wise people of the State were watching the developments, he added.[/font]
