Andhra University To Undertake Biotech Project Worth Rs 20 Cr

HYDERABAD: Andhra University has decided to take up a project worth Rs 20 crore with the aim to extract bio-active molecules from medicinal plants and also marine organisms, said Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy, Professor, Department Of Computer Science & Systems Engineering, College of Engineering, Andhra University.
This statement came yesterday while he spoke at the national seminar on bio-active molecules organised in the university.
He also threw light on the challenges in bioactive molecule research.
Prof V Veeriah, Principal, AU college of Science and Technology, said that bioactive molecules holds great significance in human health and well-being.
