ARYA Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Food Land Tiffins: HB colony Road near Venkateswara Swami Temple in Seethammadhara: Vishakapatnam Food Land offers an extensive menu of non-vegetarian tiffins, which is a novel concept in the Vizag city. They have two types of curries chicken curry and mutton paaya which can be relished with a number of accompaniments. The sponge dosa goes very well with the spicy gravy of the curry as the fluffy dosa absorbs the gravy. For those who like their food extra spicy the karam podi smeared on the sponge dosa adds an extra zing to the combination. The keema dosa is also worth trying which comes served with thick non-vegetarian gravy to dip into. The dosa is crisp and nicely browned and one can also have it with an egg wrapped inside. The idly with mutton paaya is another good combination. The paaya is more of a Chettinad style peppery soup but is strong in flavour. Dunk an idly into it and enjoy the shot of the pepper that is quickly quelled by the soft idly. The owner of the restaurant told us his chef was trained at a restaurant in Bangalore where the concept of having non-vegetarian tiffins is popular. The restaurant is open for breakfast from 7a.m.-11a.m. and in the evenings till 11p.m. Non-vegetarian fare is available for breakfast only on Sunday.
