Looking for - XML Developer

 

Role                 : XML Developer

Location           : Iowa City, IA

Start Date         : ASAP

Duration           : 12 Months +

Rate                 : $38/hr  on W2 - 50$ on Corp-Corp (OPT Accepted)

 

Job Description:

As a member of the PARCC Initiatives team the Items Developer will participate in developing an education testing solution. These activities will require, but are not limited to:

  • Add scoring logic to the QTI (Question and Test Interoperability) items
  • Perform conversions of XML objects from the ANIML definition to QTI2.1 definition.
  • Provide necessary package updates or configuration changes.

 

Education

  • Minimum:  Bachelor degree in Computer Science (Computer Engineering, MIS or related field)

 

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of professional programming experience.
  • Strong experience working with XML, XML conversion and inspection tools.
  • Highly prefer experience with QTI v2.1 schema and/or demonstrated ability to learn new schemas quickly.
  • Experience in formatting and editing a variety of assessment item interactions in QTI (v2.1) xml schema and adding response processing logic.
  • Understanding of relationship between item-level xml interactions/styles/settings and pre-determined CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and JSON preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality solutions within scheduled timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment or independently
  • Must be self-starting and able to work efficiently with little supervision
