Sachin Tendulkar added another feather in his cap of laurels when he was honoured by the Guinness World Records to commemorate the completion of its 60 years. The organisation has honoured about 60 athletes with a certificate and a medal of its 60th anniversary, which is also their recognition of the achievements of the sports personalities.

"I'm delighted to be included in the Guinness World Records 60th anniversary celebrations. I'm extremely proud of what I was able to achieve throughout my career in cricket and to be recognised alongside so many other greats feels very special," said Sachin Tendulkar when asked how it felt to be honoured by Guinness, according to an article in www.guinnessworldrecords.com.

Tendulkar represented India in 200 Tests, 463 ODIs and 1 T20I. He has the most runs in both Tests (15,921) and ODIs (18,426) along with the most number of hundreds (51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs) in both forms of the game.

Speaking on the feats achieved by the legend, Craig Glenday, the editor in chief of Guinness World Records said, "Sachin Tendulkar is India's most famous multiple record-holder. He's also an inspiration to millions of people, not just in India but around the world, and we're extremely honoured to recognise him in our anniversary year."
