The hundred scored by Saeed Anwar in the 2003 World Cup at Centurion is the only century between these two teams in the five matches. But there have been a couple of nervous nineties, by Tendulkar (98) and Sidhu (93). Tendulkar has scored three half-centuries while Aamer Sohail scored two.

Prasad in 1999 and Wahab Riaz in 2011 are the only bowlers to take five-wicket hauls in India-Pakistan World Cup matches.

India has defeated Pakistan in all the World Cup matches they played against each other. But the overall record is in favour of Pakistan as they have won 72 matches against India and lost only 50 of the 126 matches they played each other.

In the last five matches b/w two, Pakistan has been on winning side thrice and India in the rest two. MS Dhoni has been the Man of the match in two of the last five India-Pakistan ODIs.

Both teams have lost equal number of matches in World Cups and have almost similar win-loss ratios with India being slightly better.

Pakistan and India have both not produced a victory in their last four ODIs and just one victory apiece in their last five games.
