Please help urgent , Eithad airway's

Chicago to Abu dhabi travelling , we want to have 3 day layover in dubai 

i have few questions if any one has any experience 

1) Is it easy to travel from Abu dhabi to Dubai , we are going with kid , i read that i would cost me around 30 to 40 dollars for that in taxi 

2) Will Eithad airway's book the VISA ( sponsor the visa , if i book the flight ticket ) or else should i book a hotel and than cancel it 

3) If we get VISA on arrival in UAE abu dhabi , can we visit any places 

4) Return only 3hr 30 min lay over undi and i heard US immigration is in Abu dhabi , will that be sufficient time for travel ??

travelling in july and return in august total with multiple destination for 3 is 3700
