Film stars and politicians often go hand in glove and there have been numerous instances where film stars even stepped into politics. It becomes imperative for the government of a state to promote its developmental schemes extensively, since even the gigantic of efforts often go unnoticed by the people.

Understanding the importance of a wide publicity campaign for his ambitious plantation drive, Haritha Haram, Telangana CM KCR seems to be fully cashing in on the cine glamour.

Recently, Akhil Akkineni took part in the plantation drive at the RGI Airport at Samshabad on the inaugural day of the Haritha Haram campaign. And today, it is Tollywood’s two happening glamour queens Rakul Preet Singh and Raashi Khanna’s turn to add their glamour to KCR’s ambitious project.
