At a time when the demand for special category status to Andhra Pradesh has generated a lot of heat and dust in the state, there is also a comical element newly added to it. And that is the threat by senior actor and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna.

On Thursday, Balakrishna threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi of desperate results, if the Center did not grant special category status to AP.

“It is our right. And there is no need to beg for it. The Centre has no way but concede the demand of five crore Telugu people. If Modi ignores our demand, he should be prepared to face the consequences,” the actor warned.
