buying a house in US ante - person to person various factors vuntaayi .. like 

- it depends if you are married and have kids

- depends on your immigration status

- depends on the place where you live and where you plan to buy

- depends on your financial status  - price of the house -earnings single or double income.

- India lo mee Parents financial situations 

If any of these are not a constraint - then I would suggest you to buy a house in US and enjoy life with your family

Also, India lo NRI investment ante ...chaala issues vasthaayi... frankly India lo kooda real estate baaga hyped prices vunnayi...Nee investment ki 5 years tharuvatha kaneesam bank interest ki match ayyithe  goppa...I highly doubt it.

And Konee property should be clean and you should be able to monitor the property for number of years.

india lo double registrations, litigation lands sale, assigned land sale ... ila bochaadu aalochanalu cheyyali .... and eventually you need to find a prospective buyer to cash in your profit.... not an easy deal now a days unless you are highly influential and financially sound

Also US lo kooda ... majority of the times ...you may not see exponential price appreciation or depreciation. In US if you are buying a house to live in that same house ... don't consider it as investment... it's purely a personal desire to accommodate yourself and family in a happy home.

if your buying a house to rent (investment) ante ... it's a different ballgame

Agreed - US lo ... especially California lo .. last 1 year lo prices boomed up. This is sellers market... so people are trying to take advantage by selling the properties and cash in the profits.
