For all Active duty Future soldiers, once your DEP gets to 700 days you will receive orders from your recruiting unit commander that your contract is going to be cancelled and that the final cancellation paperwork will be initiated. Once your DEP reaches 730 days or 2 years from the date of your enlistment, you are officially out of the Army and will be counted as a DEP loss. No action on what the procedure is going to be for the Reserves yet but that update will be coming soon as well. Quote
