Peddayana
You can get cheap (comparatively) health insurance plans by shopping at ehealthinsurance or other portals , but they do not cover general yearly office visits most of the times (you will get this yearly visit free from your employer plan typically) , they will also have high deductibles , copays and coinsurances , mostly suitable for emergency situations and if you are single and in very good health. Some plans do offer 50$ copay for office visits or urgent care etc. Check for those as you can get away with 50$ if you are sick (god forbid). Also check the maximum out of pocket you need to pay , like 8000$ etc , this is the max amount you need to pay after which Insurance company will pay 100%. This amount will be the risk you need to accept if you want to pay lower premiums.
