As it is Kathi la commentary istunnav without reading main post. This is not final bill but most likely it will ani undi. DJ wants his 4 pillar plan in any bill be it dems or republicans or bipartisan otherwise he said he will veto it, that's why they reached bipartisan deal. Maha change  aithe family based may remain but most part of this bill points that are covered going to corroborate in any bill with minor changes but main agenda remains same. I told in my second post I will append based on current development. as of yesterday this bill is most likely one that everyone agreed.

02/15/2018: Here We Go! Senate Scheduled to Vote on Immigration Reform Bills Beginning from 10:30 A.M. (EST)

• Basically confrontation between two proposals: Republican (Grassley) proposal incorporatiing Trump's all four plans (Border Security, DACA, Removal of so-called Chain Migration, and Removal of DV Lottery Program) vs. Democratic proposal limiting to the first two programs (Border Security and DACA). Trump has declared he would veto the Senate Democratic proposal. We are living in the country with political confrontation between the far right and far left to one of the highest level in its history. Both of the groups ignore interest of the people whom they were supposed to serve. They all act like rulers rather than servants in a so-called "democratic" system

At the end of the day, it's political drama. All we care at this point is whether the immigration reform helps our Indian community in anyway or not. Senate voting beings in 50 mins (10:30 AM EST) on the proposed bill and there may be many minor changes they may introduce depending on both parties agreement. In order to keep up with their political promises they have to show off some efforts to retain any form of current immigration.

If you notice Merit based is gone and it costs us too much, such minor change for senator is a major change for us. You never know what such changes the final bill may include.

As it is ga Indian politics replicated here as well. We have to see what is the final bill going includes. Small change brings big difference in our lives. Like adding removing spouse from GC count. It is silly topic for the senators, not us.

When voting begins, negotiations happen from both parties. I just used that as example of minor changes to the bill.

As usual dems are good for nothing, their bill only want Border and DACA. If they keep DV & Chain alive, we don't even get 25k reallocation from DV. This is really nuts. We are stuck here forever with this GC backlog.
