Former Member of Parliament, Amar Singh who is a close family friend of Sridevi and husband Boney Kapoor came out to clarify about traces of alcohol being found in her flood. He told ANI, "Srideviji did not drink hard liquor, she used to have wine sometimes like me and many others in public life." He even confirmed that veteran actress' mortals will reach India tonight. He said, " .I have talked to Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Al Nahyan, he assured me that all formalities and reports are complete. Her mortal remains should reach India by midnight."

Dubai cops speak to Boney Kapoor

As per latest reports, the Dubai police have spoken to producer Boney Kapoorin connection with the sudden demise of his wife, veteran actress Sridevi. Earlier, executive editor of Khaleej Times, Vicky Kapur, told Times Now that Boney Kapoor might be asked for a statement since he was the last person to see Sridevi. “There is no benchmark of how much time it could take. He (Boney Kapoor) may be asked for a statement as he was the last person to see her alive, it would not suggest that he is under investigation

Boney went over the details of tragedy with four senior police officials. He spoke with them for three-and-a-half hours and his statement was recorded on camera as well.

The police is also said to have taken the statements of three other people who were with Boney when Sridevi was brought to the Rashid Hospital. These three people were reportedly called by him when he found Sridevi's lifeless body.
