See the govt website, it has lots of information. Jobs are not bad here, if you can tolerate cold. Express entry might take less than year depending from where you are applying. Once you have PR you have stay for 1080 days in 5 yrs to get citizenship. After applying for citizenship there is a wait time of approximately 1 -1.3 years for test. If you fail there is 8 month to 1 year wait. If you pass then in 1 -2 months you can get citizenship.

You can apply for TN visa (appatiki unte) after Citizenship to work in US. You cannot apply for GC on TN. for GC you have go back to H1 or L1 or EB2 etc.

Rules keep on changing here.

Thanks

Dynamics change avuthaay... PD date port kadu... Coz your passport changes and all your previous documentation becomes Obsolete...

India Dual citizenship allow cheyyadu...

so using PD is a GONE case...

Doesn't matter, PD isn't dependent on your country of citizenship it's only dependent on your country of birth. Which won't change no matter what citizenship you end up with, so as of now PD is going to be secure.

But there's a proposal to drop this PD porting rule, so if that comes all PDs will be canceled.

There is a proposal that anyone that leaves the US while his PD is pending to be current will be dropped off the queue, anyone that leaves for more than 6 months or so(not sure about the exact time line). So if an H1B visa holder were to have his H1B visa rejected and had to go back to India for one year or so, his PD might not be relevant anymore.

Not sure if this going to come through, but I have heard from a lawyer that USCIS is working towards implementing it. So forget about dates getting current etc.
