i think that's exactly why Ram is much revered. Coz he is breaking away from those kingly traditions and supposedly leading an exemplary life fit to the society of that period.

before being a husband he is a King, thats why he had to take that step.

Nenu Sita ni malli forest ki pampinchadalchukoledu, so i will go along with her and leave the kingdom ante, Raju dharma comes in picture.
