YSRCP Shocking Condition for Lok Sabha Seats

The YSR Congress Party is very careful in choosing the candidates for Lok Sabha and assembly elections . It is seeking for potential candidates so that the whole burden wouldn’t be on the party.

 

According to party sources, if a potential candidate is approaching the Party High Command seeking a particular assembly or Lok Sabha seat, he/she should have that financial ability to campaign for themselves.

 

Party sources said that the candidate's personal expenses and the campaign could cost anywhere between Rs. 5 crore to Rs. 10 crores while the campaign expenditure for the party may cost between Rs. 10 crores to Rs. 50 crore, depending on the constituency they choose.

 

According to Election Commission rules, a party's maximum limit to spend for Lok Sabha elections is Rs. 70 lakh, whereas, a candidate's limit for spending for a campaign is Rs. 28 lakh. But the political leaders say that the limit set by EC is no way enough for campaigning.
