ekunadam_enkanna
There are indexes such as SPX, DJI, NASDAQ 100, russel smapcap index. There are Long ETF's based on these indexes: SPY, DIA, QQQ. There are inverse indexes as well. Besides these, there are 2x Long, 3x Long, 2x Short, 3xShort. Basically, inverse ETF's are risky for average investors. QQQ is an etf based on nasdaq 100 index. TQQQ = 3 times QQQ. If there is 50% increase in a year, TQQQ will generate 150%. Same in the reverse.

changure
thank you guys for the suggestions. Basically my understanding is, it's like short selling...if the market goes up , the inverse ETF will go down and vice versa..
